Active Charts - A new way of working with data
We put life into static charts and give more freedom to the user to play with data. Increased interaction leads to new insights, new information and finally to good decisions.
Here are the amazing ways in which a user can work with data retrieved, using Active Charts:
- Cross-section Analysis: A cross-section of the graph can be highlighted and statistics for the cross-section can be calculated - on the fly and in real-time.
- Cross-Compare: Multiple cross-sections on the graph can be highlighted and statistics between these cross-sections can be compared.
Ex: Number of withdrawals at ATMs during weekends VS weekdays.
- Bird's eye view: The entire data can be previewed and only interesting segments can be looked at.
- Toggle: In charts with multiple graphs, boring graphs can be hidden for clarity.
- Multiple y-axes can be set to view different values varying over time or other variable.
Ex: Fuel price and Number of vehicles sold, plotted against time. Here, fuel price and Number of vehicles sold will have different set of values and hence they need to have separate y-axis, and sharing a common x-axis.
All of this is done without any extra load on the server and hence it is fast.
Traditionally, charts have been boring, slow, less informative and considered to be resource-intensive.
However, with Active Charts the user gets those extra tools with which he can climb the mountain of data quickly, to seek new interesting insights.
